Cobo Hall

This 1.3 million-square-foot expansion project was 
seven weeks behind schedule when NSC was brought 
in on the job.  The addition would span an existing 
interstate highway and would require long, continuous 
trusses.  Box columns, weighing 25 tons each, supported 
the field-assembled trusses that were 20 feet deep, 180 
feet long and weighed 140 tons each.  The addition also 
featured an elevated guideway to accommodate
Detroit's downtown People Mover.
